We are currently enrolling students for the 2010-2011 School Year Our program consists of: - 3's Preschool - T/R from 8:30am-11:30am
- 4's Preschool - M/W/F from 8:30am-11:30am OR 12:15pm-3:15pm
Daily Activities We incorporate SPECS into all of our daily activities: Social (ie: group playtime, partner activities, cooperative games, etc.) Physical (ie: Activity Center games, recess at the park, etc.) Emotional (ie: sharing, manners, others feelings, etc.) Cognitive (ie: academic concepts, scientific experiments, etc. See #4 above) Spiritual (ie: who Jesus is and what He’s done for us.) There is a balance of active classroom playtime and seated group carpet time each day. Play is the main vehicle we use to present information and practice the concepts we’re working on. Children this age won’t realize it, but they’re learning as they play. A typical day in our preschool classroom consists of play time, Calendar, Story, Songs, Activities (such as art, science or math,) Snack, Outdoor or Gym activity, and Jesus Time. Concepts children learn through the year include spiritual development, social interaction with children their own age, following directions, and academics to prepare children for Kindergarten.
